This is a new turbine that scientists in France are working on. They call it the next generation marine turbine. It is safe and harmless to the fish and other animals that live in the area of where the turbine is placed. It also spins both ways to enhance the energy made by the turbine.
This picture shows what the turbine basically is. It shows the duct, the generator, the removable cassette, the base that goes into the ground, and the acctual turbine itself.
This picture is basically the same as the one above except this one also shows the hydraulic pump and the hub. It also shows the basic path the energy takes back to shore.
